A conversation with Juan Cobos Wilkins

Poet, narrator, and script-writer, Juan Cobos Wilkins, will speak about his novel The Heart of the Earth (El corazón de la tierra), which was adapted for cinema (2007) by director Antonio Cuadri. Cinta Ramblado (University of Limerick) will introduce the talk.

The Heart of the Earth transports us to the Riotinto mining area in the period from 1888 to 1957. The novel narrates us, in particular, the events of 1888, the year in which the Riotinto miners held a rebellion against British control.
