concert

Pedroñeras, the garlic harvest is a performance/reflection/portrait of the garlic harvest in the town of las Pedroñeras, its people, images and sounds, carried out by three Madrid-based artists as a dialogue using real-time manipulation of sonic, oral and visual material, previously collected in a visit to las Pedroñeras in July 2007.

The material employed in each performance is sound recordings (made in las Pedroñeras in July 2007); photographs (taken in las Pedroñeras in July 2007 and transferred to large-format transparencies or printed on photographic paper); various objects, electronic sounds (generated by digital synthesis in real time) and electro-acoustic sounds (generated by a prepared table-top guitar). The result is an interactive work that changes each time it is performed. For around an hour the performers use their respective media to create together, in real time and an interactive manner, a portrait or reading of the chosen theme.
