Joan Margarit at DLR Poetry Now

Joan Margarit and his English translator Anna Crowe will take part in the Festival of Poetry in Dún Laoghaire.

Joan Margarit i Consarnau, Catalan poet, born in Sanaüja (la Segarra, Lleida) in 1938. He published the following books: El primer frío: Poesía 1975-1995 ( Visor Libros, Madrid, 2004), Estació de França (Ediciones Hiperion, Madrid, 1999), Joana (Ediciones Hiperion, Madrid, 2002), Cálculo de estructuras ( Visor Libros, Madrid, 2005), Casa de Misericordia ( Visor Libros, Madrid, 2007), Misteriosamente feliz ( Visor Libros, col. Palabra de Honor, Madrid, 2009), Nuevas cartas a un joven poeta (Barril-Barral, Barcelona 2009). Winner of numerous literary awards, National Critics Award and National Award for Poetry among others. In English he published: Tugs in the fog (Bloodaxe Books, 2006), Stranglely Happy (collecting two last books of author: House of Mercy and Strangely Happy).
