El Bulli: Cooking in progress.
film screening
Three-star chef Ferran Adrià is widely considered as the best, most innovative and craziest chef in the world. His creative and surprising cuisine has awarded him three Michelin stars. He was a five-time winner of the title “Best restaurant in the World”. His restaurant receives more than two million requests for reservations every year. After 20 years revolutionizing haute cuisine, Ferran Adrià has made the decision to close his restaurant and convert it into EL Bulli Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on promoting creativity in cooking. The German documentary maker, Gereon, accompanied Ferran Adrià and his team while the restaurant was on its annual six-month break to create the new menu for the following season. The documentary film EL BULLI: COOKING IN PROGRESS is a rare inside look at some of the world's most innovative and exciting cooking; as Adrià himself puts it, "the more bewilderment, the better!" The collaboration of the Goethe Institute makes the presentation of this movie possible.
