He goes down to the kitchen and his whole family is waiting for him: it's his birthday. They all sing "Happy Birthday to You" and give him presents. But when he opens the present of his youngest son, he gets angry and says he doesn't like it. The boy starts crying and says that he loves him, but Santiago answers that he doesn't believe him and he tells something no father would ever say to his son ...

Ann, una dependienta de una tienda de fotografía, se ha trasladado a una ciudad que le es ajena porque quiere estar cerca de Bob. Pero un día él le llama para cortar. One afternoon, just after coming back from work, Ann receives a call from her boyfriend who simply tells her he wants to end their relationship. Ann doesn't seem to react, but a few minutes after hanging up the phone, she swallows the contents of a bottle of nail polish. At the hospital, where she has her stomach pumped, a psychiatrist gives Ann her private telephone. Ann goes home terribly sad. She decides to phone the doctor but dials the wrong number, calls the hope line and has a strange conversation with Don.
