Agonía Republicana - Living the Death of an Era

Con motivo del 70 aniversario del final de la Guerra Civil española en 1939, el Departamento de Filología Hispánica de la Universidad de Dublín, Trinity College, con la colaboración del Instituto Cervantes de Dublín organiza un Congreso internacional.

El objetivo es reunir a expertos e investigadores de varias disciplinas para rememorar el periodo del último año de la guerra y reevaluar el alcance de las consecuencias inmediatas de la victoria franquista para la población española, que vio sus vidas conmocionadas irrevocablemente.

To mark the 70th year since the end of the Spanish Civil War in 1939 the Department of Hispanic Studies, University of Dublin, Trinity College, in collaboration with the Instituto Cervantes, Dublin, is organizing an International Conference.

It aims to bring together a wide range of experts to explore the events of that time from an interdisciplinary perspective, with a particular focus not only on the wider implications of Franco’s victory but also on how the forces of power moved ordinary lives to extraordinary degrees.

Goya. La conciencia retratada.

Una de las series más conocidas del artista español Francisco de Goya (Fuendetodos 1746-Burdeos 1828), es la serie de grabados titulada Los caprichos, que se editó por primera vez en 1799. Goya. La conciencia retratada reúne los 80 grabados pertenecientes al Instituto Cervantes y estampados con motivo de su presentación en la Exposición Universal de Sevilla de 1929.

One of most famous series by Francisco de Goya (Fuendetodos 1746 – Bordeaux 1828) is the collection of etchings published in 1799 under the title “Caprichos”. Goya. The portrayed conscience compiles 80 engravings belonging to the Instituto Cervantes and printed on occasion of the World Exhibition Sevilla 1929.

Concha Jareño presentará por primera vez en Dublín su espectáculo "Simplemente flamenco", una suite de baile que incluye Martinetes, Milonga, Farruca y Caracoles. Flamenco, simplemente. Estará acompañada en el escenario por el guitarrista Flavio Rodrigues, el violinista Raúl Márquez, la cantaora Gema Caballero y el cantaor Pedro Obregón .

Concha Jareño will present for the first time in Dublin her production “Simplemente flamenco”, a dance suite which includes Martinetes, Milonga, Farruca y Caracoles. Flamenco, simply.
