Las fotografías de esta exposición son una muestra del rico patrimonio que guarda el Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales en su archivo y pertenecen a la última gran expedición española del siglo XIX: la Comisión científica del Pacífico, 1862-66.
The photographs in this exhibition are but a sample of the rich collection housed in the archives of Spain’s National Museum of Natural Sciences, here documenting the last great Spanish expedition of the 19th century: the Scientific Commission of the Pacific, 1862-66.
Exposición producida por el Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas.

Peadar McQuillan Memorial Lecture 2009: Eduardo Arroyo [NoMad Architects]
La Conferencia anual en homenaje a Peadar Mc Quillan, celebra el trabajo de destacados arquitectos jóvenes que han desarrollado proyectos estimulantes y arriesgados. Este año, la conferencia estará a cargo del español Eduardo Arroyo, uno de los jóvenes arquitectos europeos con más talento, que presentará el trabajo que hace en No. Mad.
The Peadar McQuillan Memorial Lecture is dedicated to celebrating the work of outstanding young architects producing challenging and inspiring architecture. This year we are pleased that the Madrid based architect Eduardo Arrroyo is regarded as one of Europe´s most talented young architects, has accepted our invitation to come to Dublin and present the work of his practice No.Mad Architects.

Este mes nuestra biblioteca se suma a la celebración del Children’s Book Festival 2009 con una selección de libros escritos para niños por algunos de los nombres más relevantes de la literatura contemporánea española, hispanoamericana e irlandesa. Contamos con Ana Mª Matute, Miguel Ángel Asturias, William Trevor, Josefina Aldecoa, Manuel Rivas, Ana Rossetti, Roddy Doyle, José María Merino y Soledad Puértolas, entre otros.
