Courses for teachers

Many Spanish teachers in various countries think of Instituto Cervantes as a reference for their teaching practices, as well as a resource centre. More than 8,700 Spanish teachers participate each year in improvement courses run by Instituto Cervantes.

In these courses, didactic, methodological and linguistic knowledge is up-dated. Also, future Spanish teachers can participate in these courses as preparation for their professional career.

Every year, Instituto Cervantes in Dublin, in collaboration with the Regional Educational Ministry of the Spanish Embassy, organizes a training course for future teachers. This course, currently nearing its XIV edition, is celebrated every year between the months of October and June. As well as sessions on didactic and methodological theory, there are various practical sessions and workshops that cover diverse disciplines: New technologies, culture, material design, etc. Part of the course is also dedicated to the observation and teaching of classes.
